Mozilla Firefox 10 browser update

Firefox 10 is now upon us and Mozilla have promised us a lot of updates and improvements, can they deliver?.....

The Firefox 10 update brings lots of new features to one of the World's most popular browsers, making your online experience faster and smoother. You can now choose whether to view content in 3D or 2D, and customise how your favourite sites look and feel - nifty.

There's added support for HTML5 animations and games; so you can see a wider variety of online content. Also, a new tool called W3C lets developers measure how long it takes for a page to load when you open it, and see how easy it is to navigate websites, so you could see an improvement in your online experience when using the new browser.

If you're an Android tablet or smartphone user, you'll be pleased to hear that the Mozilla mobile browser now also supports 'Multitouch Gestures'. This means you can use two fingers to browse more easily and pair your device with your browser without needing to be at your desktop computer.

Corporate Firefox users and Enterprise IT professionals have expressed concern that previous Firefox updates couldn't be delivered on secure company systems due to security issues. Thankfully Firefox 10 provides an Extended Support Release version which should make it easier to install on a corporate system.

Finally Memory Management has become a lot more efficient delivering web browsing at blisteringly fast speeds. Opening new tabs and clicking on menus and buttons and waiting for the result is a thing of the past with enhanced performance. Firefox 10 definitely rivals Google Chrome, with web browsing sessions lasting up to 4 days without any lag on performance.
