Orange APN Settings

Trying to access the internet or send multimedia messages via the Orange mobile network? Read this APN guide to find out how to connect your smart phone or feature phone to the network, so that you can browse the web, retrieve email or send MMS messages to friends.

The settings listed below are as complete as possible at time of writing, and are intended for use in handsets with UK SIM cards issued by Orange. Please bear in mind that there may be minor differences in the appearance, and order of entry of the settings, when comparing your handset to those used in the preparation of these guides.

How to connect an Android phone to Orange mobile internet

Getting your Android handset online can be a challenge when it comes to putting the settings in manually but don’t worry, we're here to help. The setting below will ensure your handset is ready for internet use and able to send MMS messages.

From the home screen:

  1. Tap the Menu button.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless and networks or More... (depending on your version of Android).
  4. Tap Mobile Networks.
  5. Tap Access point names.
  6. Tap the Menu button.
  7. Tap New APN.
  8. Enter the following data into the onscreen form, without changing any other settings:
    Name - Orange Internet
    APN - everywhere
    Username - eesecure
    Password - secure
    MMSC - http://mms/
    MMS Proxy - 149.254.201.135
    MMS Port - 8080
    Authentication type - PAP
    APN type - If given a choice, select internet+mms, if the keyboard appears enter *
    (As a check, the image below shows blue text in the fields you should have completed)
  9. Tap the Menu button.
  10. Tap Save.
  11. Enable the newly-added APN by ensuring the line is ticked, or the radio button is lit by tapping on it.
  12. Check the notification bar for 4G, H, 3G, E or G with up and down arrows beside it, which will indicate your connection is working.

Orange iPhone Mobile internet

How to connect an iPhone to Orange mobile internet

An iPhone usually sets up APNs automatically, but if you need to enter them manually, here's how. The setting below will ensure your handset is ready for internet use and able to send MMS messages.

From the home screen:

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. In the first section tap Mobile/Cellular.
  3. Tap Mobile data network/Cellular data network.
  4. Enter the following settings into the onscreen form, without changing any other settings:
    Mobile/Cellular Data:
    APN - everywhere
    Username - eesecure
    Password - secure
    Visual Voicemail:
    MMS:
    APN - eezone
    Username - eesecure
    Password - secure
    MMSC - http://mms/
    MMS Proxy - 149.254.201.135:8080
    MMS Max Message Size - 1048576
    (As a check, the image below shows blue text in the fields you should have completed)
  5. Tap the left arrow at the top three times.
  6. Press the home button.
  7. On the status bar at the top of the screen, next to the name of your mobile network, you should now see a data connection indicator 4G, 3G, E or GPRS. This means the data connection is live and working.

Orange BlackBerry Mobile internet

How to connect a BlackBerry 10 phone to Orange mobile internet

Getting your BlackBerry 10 smartphone online can be a challenge when it comes to putting the settings in manually but don’t worry, the guide below will help you get up and running on the mobile web in no time.

On BlackBerry 10 devices, the internet APN and MMS APN settings are entered in different places.

Internet APN

From the home screen:

  1. Swipe down from the top edge of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Network Connections.
  4. Tap Mobile Network.
  5. Tap APN.
  6. At the top of the screen, tap on the Mobile Plan selector to choose Contract or Prepay.
  7. Enter the following information in the onscreen form, without changing any other settings:
    Access Point Name - everywhere
    Username - eesecure
    Password - secure
    (As a check, the image below left shows blue text in the fields you should have completed)
  8. Tap Save in the top right corner.
  9. You should now see 4G, 3G, H, E or G next to the signal bars at the top of the display. This indicates you are connected to the data network.

MMS APN

From the home screen:

  1. Swipe left-to-right across the screen to access the Hub.
  2. Tap Menu (3 dots).
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Text Messages.
  5. Tap Advanced.
  6. Scroll down past the SMS Settings.
  7. Enter the following settings into the onscreen form, without changing any other settings:
    APN Settings:
    APN - eezone
    Username - eesecure
    Password - secure
    MMSC Settings:
    MMSC URL - http://mms/
    Proxy URL - 149.254.201.135:8080

  8. Tap Save at the bottom of the screen.

Orange Windows Phone Mobile internet

How to connect a windows phone to Orange mobile internet

Getting your Windows Phone device online can be a challenge when it comes to putting the settings in manually but don’t worry, the guide below will help you get up and running on the mobile internet and be able to use MMS in no time.

There are some differences in the settings between Windows Phone 8.1 and its predecessors, Windows Phone 7/7.5/7.8 and Windows Phone 8, so we will look at these separately.

Windows Phone 8.1

From the home screen:

  1. Swipe your finger from right to left across the screen to access the Apps list.
  2. Find and tap on the Settings icon.
  3. Scroll down this list until you find cellular + SIM or Mobile + SIM, then press on it to continue.
  4. Make sure your Data connection is set to On, then scroll down and tap on SIM settings.
  5. At the bottom of the SIM settings page are options to edit internet APN and edit MMS APN. Tap on edit Internet APN to modify your internet connection settings.
  6. Enter the following settings into the onscreen form, without changing any other settings:
    APN - everywhere
    User name - eesecure
    Password - secure
  7. Press the Save button to save and quit this screen. The save icon looks like a floppy disk, for those of us who remember them!
  8. Now select edit MMS APN.
  9. Enter the following settings into the onscreen form, without changing any other settings:
    APN - eezone
    Username - eesecure
    Password - secure
    WAP gateway (URL) - 149.253.201.135
    WAP gateway port - 8080
    MMSC (URL) - http://mms/

  10. Press the Save button at the bottom of the page to save and quit this screen.
  11. You should now see 4G, 3G, H, E or G on the top line of the display, next to the signal bars. This indicates you are connected to the data network

Windows Phone 8

From the home screen:

  1. Swipe across the screen to bring up the apps list.
  2. Open the Settings app.
  3. Tap Mobile network and ensure the data connection is switched on.
  4. Go back to the apps list, scroll down and tap on Settings.
  5. Tap on Access point.
  6. If your network name is showing in the list, tap it to make it active, otherwise tap add
  7. Enter the following settings into the onscreen form, without changing any other settings:
    Connection name - Orange Internet
    Internet APN:
    Access point name - everywhere
    Username - eesecure
    Password - secure
    MMS APN:
    Access point name - eezone
    Username - eesecure
    Password - secure
    Proxy address - 149.254.201.135
    Proxy port - 8080
    MMSC address - http://mms/
    (As a check, the image below shows blue text in the fields you should have completed)
  8. Tap the tick at the bottom to save.
  9. You should now see 4G, 3G, H, E or G on the top line of the display. This indicates you are connected to the data network.

Windows Phone 7/7.5/7.8

From the home screen:

  1. Tap the right arrow or swipe across the screen to access the apps list.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Mobile network.
  4. Tap Add APN.
  5. Enter the following settings into the onscreen form, without changing any other settings:
    Name - Orange Internet
    Tick the box to make this the default APN.
    Internet APN:
    APN - everywhere
    Username - eesecure
    Password - secure
    MMS APN:
    MMS Access Point Name - eezone
    Username - eesecure
    Password - secure
    Proxy address - 149.254.201.135
    Proxy port - 8080
    MMSC address - http://mms/
    (The image above is from Windows Phone 8. WP7/7.5/7.8 are very similar, but some fields appear in a different order so be careful when comparing your handset to the picture)
  6. Tap the tick or disk icon to save.
  7. Confirm the APN change.
  8. You should now see 3G, H, E or G on the top line of the display. This indicates you are connected to the data network.

Orange NokiaMobile internet

How to connect a Nokia feature phone to Orange mobile internet

Setting up new APN settings manually isn’t particularly common, and the area we need to work on is buried a little deeper in the handset than other settings. There are separate settings that have to be entered for internet and MMS APNs, just be careful to enter the right information in the right section!

As a check, the images below the instructions show blue text in the fields which should be completed.

Internet APN

From the home screen:

  1. Tap Menu.
  2. Tap Configuration.
  3. Tap Personal settings.
  4. Tap Options.
  5. Tap Add new.
  6. Tap Web.
  7. Tap Account name, enter Orange Internet and tap OK.
  8. Tap Homepage, enter http://m.google.com and tap OK.
  9. Tap Use pref. acc. pt. and tap No.
  10. Tap Acc point sett..
  11. Tap Bearer settings.
  12. Tap Pack. data acc. pt., enter everywhere and tap OK.
  13. Tap Username, enter eesecure and tap OK.
  14. Tap Password, enter secure and tap OK.
  15. Tap Back three times.
  16. Press and hold your finger on the Orange Internet name and tap Activate.
  17. Tap Back.
  18. Tap Def. config. sett. and tap Personal config.
  19. Tap Default.
  20. Tap Back twice to return to the home screen.
  21. You should now see 3G, H, E or G in the top left corner of the screen. This indicates your handset is connecting to the internet.

MMS APN

From the home screen:

  1. Tap Menu.
  2. Tap Configuration.
  3. Tap Personal settings.
  4. Tap Options.
  5. Tap Add new.
  6. Tap Multimedia msg.
  7. Tap Account name, enter Orange MMS and tap OK.
  8. Tap Server address, enter http://mms/and tap OK.
  9. Tap Use pref. acc. pt. and tap No.
  10. Tap Acc point sett..
  11. Tap Proxy and tap Enable.
  12. Tap Proxy address, enter 149.254.201.135 and tap OK.
  13. Tap Proxy port, enter 8080 and tap OK.
  14. Tap Bearer settings.
  15. Tap Pack. data acc. pt., enter eezone and tap OK.
  16. Tap Username, enter eesecure and tap OK.
  17. Tap Password, enter secure and tap OK.
  18. Tap Back three times.
  19. Press and hold your finger on the Orange MMS name and tap Activate.
  20. Tap Back.
  21. Tap Def. config. sett. and tap Personal config.
  22. Tap Default.
  23. Tap Back twice to return to the home screen.
