How to make a claim with Geek Squad Insurance

If the unexpected happens, and you need to make a claim on your Geek Squad insurance, we’re here to make the process as smooth as possible.

To make a claim online, follow the steps below & fill in the form on this page. We’ll be in touch within 48 hours of receiving your completed form.

If your phone is lost or stolen. It is very important that you do the following before contacting us:

  • Report the loss to your network provider within 24 hours and arrange for the line to be barred.
  • Report the incident to the police within 48 hours, and make sure to get a crime reference number.

If your phone accidentally breaks, or stops working:

  • You must contact us to make the claim within 60 days of discovering what’s happened. We may need you to bring your product to store, so that we can assess and repair or replace it.

Although Best Buy has now stopped trading in the UK, service cover will continue as normal for existing customers.

What will not change:

  • The terms and conditions of your Service Plan
  • Service plans will continue to be underwritten by Aviva, one of the UK's largest insurers
  • The product you purchased from Best Buy will remain covered. You will still be able to make claims and, where appropriate, obtain troubleshooting support, just as before
  • Claims will continue to be fulfilled as they are at the moment. This may be by repairing your product, by directly replacing it, or in some cases, by giving you cash instead
  • If you have chosen to pay your premiums by Direct Debit, payments will continue on a monthly basis in the same way as at present.

What will be different for existing customers:
