Agent Gareth Hobson explains why he was cynical about the iPhone at first, but not anymore.

I was slightly cynical at first when the Apple iPhone came out but I've been won over... and then some.

I fully admit I wasn't one of the first to jump on the bandwagon, but since I did, I've been completely converted.

From the day I got my iPhone it completely took over my entire life. I'd be lost without it. I use it in the car as a sat-nav and listen to music on it when out instead of my car stereo. When I go home it becomes the remote control for my music system.

I can play any media on it, get my emails, play games, and read books. Everywhere I go it seems to be the key to making my life simpler.

What I always tell everyone getting into the iPhone for the first time is to never read the instructions. Just pick it up, and play with it. You'll always find out so much more that way.

Then go to the App Store and download new apps, toys and games. It brings the gadget alive and you'll love it all over again like it was the very first time you touched it.

Through the apps you'll no doubt discover something about the iPhone you didn't even know it was capable of.

But the real beauty of the iPhone, what makes it stand out from every other gizmo, is you can't really do anything too much wrong. It's beyond idiot proof.

If you lose something, you can just pop it into iTunes, hit restore and you'll get it all back. Don't be scared of it. This is technology at its most fun. Play with it. Enjoy it!
