I love every minute of this job. My specialist area of expertise is Microsoft and particularly Windows. The majority of our customers use a PC so it gives me a chance of solving most of the things that come in.
Geek Squad, Technology and Me!
- I suppose I was born a geek...
...I've always had a curious mind. I love taking things apart, and then stripping stuff down before putting it all back together. If that makes me geeky, then you can call me a geek. I'm always thinking about how things work which tends to drive my family and friends mad. - Home visits are great for customers...
...as it gives them better understanding of their technology. It helps them see things in a different light and so it's nice to be hands-on in a one-on-one environment where there is no need to rush. It gives us as Agents an opportunity to tutor customers on how to use their computers so that further problems don't arise. I always explain what I've done too and make sure I give tips that prevent them getting in a muddle when I am gone. - Geek Squad can sort out any problem...
...and what's good is there is a brilliant community of Agents. So if we're stumped by something we can email colleagues and share any advice. Customers can rest assured that we're employed to know what we're doing so any solvable issue will be solved. Having the team around us is a great asset.

Watch out for...
Better TV quality
New televisions coming out will eventually go beyond HD in terms of quality. I'm really excited about that. But Xbox also have a new product coming out called Kinetic. It uses your movement to control the gaming action on screen and promises to be even better than the Nintendo Wii. It is very exciting and due out at Christmas. I can't wait.
My most satisfying Geek Squad moment...
...cheering up somebody's day. The best part of being a Geek Squad Agent is making people smile. When you can resolve a tech problem that has been driving them crazy they love you for it, and that's a great feeling.

The best bit about being a Geek Squad Agent is the customers. Their lives depend on their computers, so fixing them is very satisfying. We hire great people who do their job well. I'd do it for free, but I need to pay the bills!
